Tech help in the race against COVID

My Monday bulletin with more ways we can trust technology to help us fight COVID.

It's almost surreal how fast things are changing, but COVID is still moving faster.

So I’m sticking to the themes of my notes last Wednesday:

  • Attack the R0 with social distance through an aggressive work from home strategy.

  • Use the data we have thoughtfully.

I’m compiling these notes on https://www.grahambinks.com/covid19.

This page includes my weekend conversation with Hugh Blaine in which we discuss tactics for clarity, commitment and action.

Tech proximity enables Social Distance

I’m proud of the speed with which business leaders are moving. It takes a leap of faith to move your business model out of the office. Fortunately, businesses CAN be as productive with remote working.

The conversation has shifted from whether to WFH to when, underscored by the shift from reporting businesses that ARE going remote to reporting business that are NOT.

This viral article provides a rationale interpretation of the data we have. If you haven’t already made the decision to move your team to remote mode, it provides a risk calculator to help your decision.

Remember, this is not a technology challenge. Video and other remote tools have been available at commodity prices for a decade.

Going remote is the first step. In the coming weeks, many will be adjusting to the new mode. This guide offers a head start on creating approach and policy around remote working.

And you can share this article with your team to help them get comfortable.
